Dublin - Yikes!

Belfast Opera (going to Dublin Opera tonite)

Made it to London OK. The ears didn't like the descent into St John's or London, but the going to 30,000 feet and back a few times seemed to clear out the canals pretty good.

Nice coming into Dublin Harbour by ferry on a sunny Saturday morning. Got a nice hostel and made it over to the Guinness Brewery. Snuck in to a guided tour and scoffed a free pint, my first of the trip. Spent the evening in the Temple Bar area. Amazing place, tons of people, especially large groups of very exhuberant women, dressed in costumes for 'hen' parties.

Ireland is chock full of Eastern European and especially Polish people.

Gotta go. Off to the theatre this evening, and onto Wicklow Way hike tomorrow morning.

Nice shot of the Belfast Opera - that is if the building is in the shape of a big red "X".(The photo didn't come through on my PC.)

I'm planning on sitting in my favourite relaxin' chair and sipping a Guinness in your honour tonight - only, I had to pay for mine.

Happy travels.

Brucie:

Ditto on the pic!

Want a review of Cinderella, eh! Happy Trails to you. I will try to keep up with your Guinness, except it is Corona here--not free but around 50 cents.

Adios

you're making me thirsty brother. it's neat to get a running commentary. kind of like being there (except for the price of beer). also interesting to finally find out you've managed to make a friend or two since we last met. and very strange to see that someone actually misses you. lol. must be family or something.

walk on brucie...oops, i doubt you wanted your friends to know your nickname. sorry, but i already published.

Hey Bruce, Great write-ups....problem with picture, also. When you Blog on a box comes up that says kil-app-1.ucis.dal.ca and then asks for username and password. Maybe can be fixed from your end of things?
I am reading the Rebels of Ireland by Rutherford and the main action now is in the Wickelow Mtns. near Dublin in 1584....!! small world!
Have fun! Sue & Robert

No comment on your birthday celebrations! A sign of doing rather than being at an Internet Cafe.
